I was born and raised in the South by strong Southern women – aunts, grandmothers, and my mother – who instilled in me the importance of “minding my manners.” Add to that group of esteemed role models, my high school Home Economics teachers, and my evolution as a lifelong etiquette enthusiast was solidified. This upbringing not only shaped my personal life but also significantly influenced my professional life, helping me navigate various social and business situations with confidence.
After leaving a career in the legal field to raise my two children and, more recently, retiring from a position with a nonprofit organization focused on historic preservation, I was eager to turn the page to my life’s next chapter.
With a solid foundation from The English Manner and Beaumont Etiquette Train the Trainer Program, and the IAP Career College Etiquette Consultant Certification Course, I am well-equipped to work with individuals seeking to refine their social or business etiquette skills. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident in a variety of settings. In today's fiercely competitive and global business world, and an all too often impolite social environment, etiquette intelligence is an essential tool to add to your arsenal.
Etiquette is not just about self-confidence, but also about fostering compassion, kindness, and empathy for others. In essence, it is about civility. While the rules of etiquette may evolve with the times, the enduring value of kindness and civility will never go out of style.
